No final dos anos 1960, quando a parceria de Larry Marshall com Alvin Leslie na dupla Larry And Alvin,teve gravação de sucessos para Clement "Coxsone" Dodd no seu  rótulo Studio One, como o enorme hit jamaicano " Nanny Goat / Smell You Crep ", que é considerado como o registro que começou a mudança do rocksteady para o reggae, seguido por "Hush Up", "Your Love", e "Mean Girl".
"Throw Me Corn" também se tornou um grande sucesso na Jamaica, quando lançado em 1971...
