O primeiro lançamento do selo foi do grupo de Nova York Jah Malla ,no álbum ´´Alive and Well´´. O rótulo Clappers é considerado ter liberado a primeira música de hip-hop política com Brother D ,´´How We Gonna Make The Black Nation Rise´´.
