O músico jamaicano Headley Bennett conhecido como"Deadly Headley "Deadly Headly ou estêve na indústria da música desde a idade de 14 anos. Aprendeu tocar o clarinete na escola católica Alpha Boys School em Kingston. Vindo de um fundo clássico na Alpha, Headly também explorou o PNF, o calypso,o Ska, o Rocky-steady, e no reggae e no dancehall atuais. Em cima de deixar a Alpha na idade de 17 anos, Deadly Headly aprendeu como tocar bem o saxofone e tem-no feito assim desde então. ´´Sheaks Twist´´foi a primeira gravação do punho de Deadly Headley, foi feita da maneira de Christopher Blackwell nos anos 1960, e logo após foi composta e arranjada a música ‘Joy Ride’ com a gravadora Tresure Isle. Mas entre os maiores sucessos está ‘Full Up’ conheçida agora como a "Pass The Dutchie", ´´I’m In A Dancing Mood´´ cantada por Delroy Wilson, e ‘I’m Gonna Go Back Home’, cantada por Bob Andy, feita toda pelo Studio One. Outros sucessos de Deadly incluem uma canção, da gravação de Bob Marley, a primeira, conhecida como ´´Judge Not´´ seguida pela ´´One Cup Of Coffie´´ e de muitas outras junto com Bob Marley, o último trabalho com Bob foi ´´Survival´´...Deadly Headley gravou com noventa por cento dos artistas superiores do reggae de Jamaica tais como Gregory Issacs, King Yellow Man, Bunny Wailer, Rita Marley,Junior Reid, Jimmy Cliff e Lee Perry. O governo jamaicano deu-lhe também uma ordem da concessão da distinção em 2005. Apesar de tocar em diversos sucessos para produtores superiores da gravação, Headly fez também três álbuns como artista solo, Thirty Five Years From Alpha, Poolside Reggae e Victory. Tinha gravado também diversos álbums de Mikey Dread incluindo World War III, Dread at the Controls e Swalk.Atualmente Headly nos estúdios gravando seu distinto estilo jamaicano de saxofone no álbum novo de Mikey Dread conhecido como " Backstage Pass ”...
