Carlton "Santa" Davis ,nascido em 21 de novembro de 1953 em Kingston, Jamaica, é um músico do reggae, conhecido principalmente por sua bateria com bandas como Soul Syndicate,The Aggrovators e Roots Radics .Carlton já trabalhou com reggae artistas como Jimmy Cliff , Black Uhuru , Burning Spear , Big Youth , The Wailers , Peter Tosh , Andrew Tosh , Wailing Souls , Ini Kamoze , Big Mountain , Michael Rose,Augustus Pablo e Ziggy Marley   Davis nasceu em Greenwich Farm,uma área de Kingston . Carlton recebeu seu apelido de "Santa" , como resultado de um acidente de patinação que deixou seu rosto inchado e vermelho. Na idade de dez anos, ele começou a tocar em sua local banda da igreja Católica , permanecendo com eles os próximos cinco anos. Durante seu tempo lá estava ele tutelado na batida rocksteady por Bobby Aitken . Com a idade de quatorze anos, Santa juntou-se ao The Graduates, uma banda de boate que também caracterizava Earl "Wire" Lindo (depois de The Wailers ), Richard Daley (depois do Third World , e Earl "Bagga" Walker.  Davis se juntou ao seu amigo George "Fully" Fullwood no Raiders Rhythm em 1969, a banda logo mudou o nome para Soul Syndicate , e foi o baterista de Bunny Lee na sua banda de estúdio The Aggrovators na década de 1970, originando o som "flying cymbal" . Santa Davis também tocou no Roots Radics . Na década de 1980, ele tocou da banda Peter Tosh,Word,Sound and Power,junto com Fully Fullwood no baixo, e foi ferido durante o tiroteio em que Tosh foi assassinado na sua casa . Santa mais tarde se juntou Big Mountain,e também gravou com vários artistas de outros estilos como Isaac Hayes ,Carlos Santana , Chaka Khan , Rose , Eddie Griffin , e Willie Nelson em seu álbum Countryman em 2005.  Atualmente, Carlton Santa Davis é o baterista oficial de Ziggy Marley .
 Como artista solo,Santa lançou dois álbuns,Adrenalina em 1997,e Da Zone em 2008,num reggae instrumental muito bem tocado..
Além da bateria e percussão,Santa eventualmente toca outros instrumentos como o órgão, teclados..
