Alpha And Omega são um duo dub de raízes britânico que misturam os dois elementos analógicos e digitais, compreendendo a baixista Christine Woodbridge e o tecladista John Sprosen, que haviam tocado em bandas de reggae anteriormente, Sprosen também tendo trabalhado com o Sound System Roaring Lion. Eles começaram a trabalhar juntos em meados dos anos 1980, dividindo o seu tempo entre suas cidades de origem de Londres e Plymouth , e emitiram a sua cassete de estréia gravada em casa em 1988.  Alpha And Omega foram apanhados pela Greensleeves Records , que atuavam como uma sociedade-mãe ao rótulo da dupla A and O , e também trabalhou com Jah Shaka , para quem eles forneceram faixas de ritmo.
