 Em 1969, "Return Of Django" abriu o período instrumentais que foi inspirado principalmente por "spaghetti westerns" e outros filmes. Perry excursionou com os The Upsetters pelo Reino Unido com bastante sucesso. Uma vez em casa, Lee se mudou com a nova parceira Pauline Morrison e a família crescente para Washington Gardens, na época um bairro de subúrbio de classe média-baixa de Kingston..
