 O cantor,produtor,arranjador e engenheiro de som e mixagem jamaicano Barry Biggs nasceu em St. Andrews,Jamaica,em 1953 (outras fontes citam 1947)...

Barry Biggs tinha uma seqüência de sucessos Pop Reggae na segunda metade dos anos 70's, o maior vendedor foi o disco ´´Sideshow´´ que fez número 3 nas Top cartas em 1976.

Biggs gastou algum tempo sendo engenheiro de gravação para a Jamaican Broadcasting Company antes de entrar para a música como um cantor de harmonia para Clement "Coxsone" Dodd's em seu Studio One e para Duke Reid no seu estúdio de gravação de Treasure Isle.depois se tornou um membro da banda Crystalites and the Astronauts, aceitando como vocalista principal o Byron Lee do The Dragonaires.
No Dynamic Sounds Biggs gravou seu primeiro HIT Jamaicano,uma cover de ´´The Osmonds´´chamada"One Bad Apple", seguido de seu primeiro sucesso internacional , "Work All Day", em 1972. Biggs colocou seis singles nas cartas britânicas UK Singles Chart entre 1976 e 1981, com seu maior sucesso "Sideshow", alcançando o número 3 em dezembro de 1976.Outro sucesso de Biggs foi a versão de "Love Come Down", gravada anteriormente por Evelyn King.
Aliás Biggs fez diversas covers de artistas americanos como Stevie Wonder - "My Cherie Amour"; The Chi-Lites; The Moonglows - "Sincerely"; The Temptations- "Just My Imagination gravadas por Biggs no ritmo reggae..
Biggs também gravou um disco com a famosa banda jamaicana Inner Circle ´´Barry Biggs And The Inner Circle lançado em 1977 pela Trojan e arranjou o disco de Jack Ruby ´´Dread Affairs´´ no mesmo ano..
 Biggs continuou em performers ocasionais nos anos 2000s, notavelmente em serviço com seu ex- patrão da The Dragonaries, Byron Lee, em 2008...
