Gordon participou da também banda inglesa The Investigators,banda do estilo lovers rock(assim como Michael)onde dividia o vocal de ligação com Lorenzo Hall.

Com eles Gordon gravou o álbum Investigators Greatest Hits - The Rare Grooves (LP)..
