The Mighty Diamonds é um trio jamaicano da harmonia, gravando o reggae das raizes com uma influência forte de Rastafari. O grupo, que compreende Donald "Tabby" Shaw nos vocais de ligação e Fitzroy "Bunny" Simpson e Lloyd" Judge" Ferguson nos vocais de revestimento protetor,foi dado forma em 1969, e permanece junto até à data de 2011,eram conhecidos como The Icebreakers. São mais conhecidos por ´´Right Time´´ de 1976,o primeiro álbum, produzido por Joseph Hoo Kim, e o de 1979 ´´Deeper Roots´´ . Seus primeiros sucessos " Country Living" e " Hey Girl" foram gravados e liberados pela etiqueta Channel One. Duas de suas grandes canções são "Go Seek Your Rights" e "I Need A Roof",ambas dos meados dos anos 1970. A última foi remixada em um estilo techno nos meados dos anos 1990. Pass The Koutchie" , escrita por Leroy Sibbles e por Jackie Mittoo, tornou-se um sucesso internacional duas vezes, quando liberada primeiramente ( no álbum de 1981 ), e outra vez quando foi coberta pelo Musical Youth e liberada como " Pass The Dutchie". Shaw, Ferguson e Simpson produziram mais de quarenta álbuns em sua longa carreira,e continuam na ativa,tanto na gravação como em shows ao vivo..
Os Mighty Diamonds têm sido por muito tempo um dos grupos mais amados do reggae no mundo inteiro, e suas harmonias doces devem ter explanação ampla a respeito do porque. Dirigido pelo fabuloso vocalista Donald "Tabby" Shaw ,os vocais dos Diamonds,e particularmente o de Shaw são muito característicos.
