PETER YELLOW (PURPLEMAN)

Purpleman, aka Peter Yellow (na foto com roupa púrpura,ou roxa) nasceu no Distrito de Waterhouse , em Kingston, Jamaica ) ,foi um Dancehall DJ jamaicano,sendo uma de três Djs albinos na década de 1980 (Yellowman, Purpleman e King Mellow Yellow).Purpleman gravou álbuns inclusive em parceria com Yellowman e Sly e Robbie. Purpleman tocou com o sistema de som de King Jammy´s , incluindo a realização de 'confrontos' com outros sistemas, como Youth Promotions, Arrows, Kilimanjaro e Black Scorpio no 'Shock of the Century' em 1985. Purpleman gravou o primeiro álbum Em 1982, intitulado Hot. Purpleman passou a gravar uma série de álbuns compartilhados com deejays, incluindo Yellowman ,Fathead, Sister Nancy e Papa Tollo.
Gravou um álbum com U-Brown ´´ DJ Confrontation (U Brown vs Peter Yellow)´´ e um com Sly e Robbie e Taxi Gang em 1983  ´´Sly & Robbie + The Taxi Gang vs Purpleman e Friends´´ ,que teve como convidados cantores como Cornell Campbell,Jackie Edwards, Derrick Morgan,John Wayne,Papa Tollo,Sister Candy e Lord Sassafrost...
Teve um disco,´´Confessions´´,de 1983 que saiu pela Vista que saiu creditado erradamente como Yellowman,inclusive a foto da capa,mas que na verdade é um disco do Purpleman..
