A Black Roots Players já contou com vários nomes de peso no reggae no seu ´´cast´´,como os músicos Albert Malawi, Kenrick Rowe,Noel Alphonso,Max Asher e Freddie McGregor na bateria, Elroy Bailey, Junior Dan, Rueben Piper,Bagga Walker e Michael Ashley no baixo,Alan Weeks,Ants,Sowell, Chinna, Tony Chin e Sangie Davis na guitarra, Gladdy Anderson,Elroy Bailey, Jackie Mittoo,Pablove Black,Sonny Binns e Ras Ojamba no piano,Jackie Mittoo, Steele e Pablove Black no órgão,Max Asher no sintetizador,Mike Roots, Roy Grant e Arnold Breckenridge nos metais e Jah Opey,Everton Youth, Jah Lenny e Skully na percussão...
