O tecladista e multiinstrumentista jamaicano Robert ´´Robbie´´Lyn é um músico muito experiente..
Robbie Lyn já integrou a banda de Peter Tosh,a Word,Sound And Power e tocou seu competente teclado com nomes como Sly and Robbie,Mighty Diamonds,Max Romeo,Dennis Brown,Delroy Wilson,Pablo Moses,Gregory Isaacs,The Gladiators,Bunny Wailer,Bob Andy,Jimmy Riley,Israel Vibration,Burning Spear,Don Carlos,Cornell Campbell,Freddie McGregor e dezenas de outros artistas.
Além dos teclados(piano,órgão,clavinete,sintetizadores,keyboards,etc,etc..),Robbie domina perfeitamente outros instrumentos como guitarra,bateria e percussão,enfim um músico completo..
Como artista solo,Robbie Lyn lançou seu disco solo pela gravadora Island Treasure,onde mostra todo seu talento,um trabalho instrumental denominado ´´Making Notes´´,que contou com um time de primeira,entre eles os amigos Sly Dunbar e Robbie Shakespeare,e excelentes temas instrumentais como Wild World,Jam I Cam,North Street,Soulful Strut e outros...

 Entretanto, Lyn encontrou a recompensa para seus esforços, como em Fevereiro de 2007 quando recebeu o prêmio da Academia do reggae pelo melhor álbum instrumental. O álbum caracterizou músicos de primeira linha como os irmãos Glenn e Dalton Browne, Robert Browne (o filho de Glen Brown), Sly Dunbar, Dwight Pinkney, Cat Coore, Mikey Chung, Dean Fraser, o Errol atrasado Hird, Everald Gayle, Nambo Robinson, David Madden, Earl ' Chinna' Smith, Chico Chin e Uziah ' Sticky' Thompson na percussão, com Pam Hall e Nadine Sutherland que forneceram a harmonia...
